Duck Shooting - Estancia Santa Rita, Argentina
BIRD HUNTS
“Now then, take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me.”
-Genesis 27:3-
Our next option for duck hunting is at Estancia Santa Rita, a historic Argentina ranch founded around the turn of the last century by a French cattleman. It is still operated by the descendants of this adventurer, who speak fluent English, and are extremely charming hosts. The ranch is beautiful, and the duck hunting can be among the best in the country when the weather conditions are right. There are lots of shooting options at this ranch, and you will often find as many different species as any spot in the country, including rosy-bill pochards, yellow-billed pintails, cinnamon teal, Bahamas pintails, speckled teal, Chilean widgeon, red shovellers, white-faced whistling ducks, and fulvous whistling ducks. Dinner is served back at the spacious estancia, complete with excellent Argentina wines. Lunch is also normally served at the estancia, and you can expect a special treat from the gourmet side of the menu when they host a grand outside barbecue, or Asado, cooked while you watch and served at an outdoor banquet-sized table. You will experience a wonderful experience in hospitality where you are looked after by a charming well-traveled couple. Price does not include airfare.
