Join us where the ducks & geese meet to plan their fall in the South. Step off the beaten path and head far north into the beautiful valley country of Alberta, Canada, where thousands of ducks and geese spend their early fall, away from crowds of hunters and comfortable in the expansive grain fields of the area. Catch them at their major staging area, where they gather to fatten up before the migration pushes them South! You'll be showing them the first decoys they have seen after leaving the breeding grounds. This will be your best opportunity to limit out with 8 dark geese & 8 ducks per day. Add to that the 50 per day snow, blue & Ross' geese limits in this same area.

I have never seen as many mallards, pintails, specklebelly geese, Cackling Canadas, and Canada honkers than at our newest prime location near Peace River Valley, Alberta. As your host, Trevor Manteufel, his experienced guides, and his team of retrievers will make sure you are constantly in the birds, whether chasing ducks or geese, in the vast hills and vales of this handsome area of Alberta. The well-camouflaged stand up A-Frame blinds are a welcome relief from layout blinds, and I never fail to be up and at ‘em when they sail into our decoys.

We also hunt divers on the nearby lake, and find Barrow's Goldeneye and buffleheads, along with lots of mallards & pintails. We find a few Eurasian widgeon in that area as well. The banding station nearby provides some pleasant surprises! Nothing like finding jewelry on a waterfowl hunt!

You’ll fly into Grand Prairie, Alberta, pick up a rental vehicle and drive to the lodge at Hines Creek.  You'll have plenty of time to get your gear in order before starting your hunting the following day. You'll stay in a well-appointed hunting lodge, complete with a full kitchen staff to prepare your meals daily.

You hunt mornings and afternoons, until your limit of 8 ducks & 8 geese per person is obtained.
